Teaching Excellence is a novice teacher development and alternative certification program that ensures beginning teachers are immediately successful with their students.  Combining individualized coaching with relevant and applicable professional learning sessions, Teaching Excellence teachers will earn their Texas teacher certificates while teaching full time, earning a full-time teacher’s salary and helping us prepare more of Houston’s students for college graduation.
